This is not an official source, and not advice
Food Recall Radar is an independent aggregation of public-domain recall data published by FDA and USDA. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by either agency. Nothing here is legal, medical, regulatory or food-safety advice.
Always check the original agency notice, linked on every recall page, before acting. We aggregate and re-tag data that the agencies publish, and errors in parsing, classification or timing are possible. Where our severity estimate differs from an agency classification, the agency is correct.
Accuracy and timing
Do not rely on this site to make decisions regarding medical care. While we make every effort to ensure that data is accurate, you should assume all results are unvalidated. Always check the original FDA or USDA notice, linked on every recall page.
Data arrives on the agencies’ schedule, not ours. openFDA enforcement records are typically about a month behind the announcement. Absence of a recall here does not mean no recall exists.
Using the data
The underlying recall data is public domain and you may use it freely. Our own additions — the category and hazard taxonomy, plain-language summaries and severity estimates — are provided as-is with no warranty. Please do not scrape aggressively; the agency APIs are the better source for bulk use, and they are free.
No warranty and no liability
