Import Violation
WASHINGTON, FEB 19, 2026 – Sobico USA LLC, a West Hartford, Conn., importer, is recalling approximately 13,464 pounds of frozen, raw intact Siluriformes fish products that were imported from Vietnam without the benefit of import reinspection into the United States, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The Siluriformes fish, both whole/gutted and steak items were produced in Vietnam on JUNE 24, 2025. The following products are subject to recall [view labels]:

The products subject to recall bear Vietnam ESTABLISHMENT NO: DL 811, shipping mark VN/811/IV/107 and best before dates of June 23, 2027. These items were shipped to wholesalers and retail locations in Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, New York, and Ohio.
The problem was discovered and reported by the importer after a review of the FSIS import requirements and establishment procedural guidance. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an illness or injury should contact a healthcare provider.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in retail locations or consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. Maple Leaf Foods recalled Royale Natural and TOP VALU bacon products imported without proper reinspection. The bacon was subject to an import violation and should not be consumed.
BCI Foods recalled tasty KITCHEN Chicken Noodle Condensed Soup imported without proper reinspection. The soup was subject to an import violation and should not be consumed.
Frozen raw pork boneless loins imported from Canada were recalled for import violation without proper reinspection. This product should not be consumed and should be returned or discarded.
Maître Saladier Inc. recalled Lorraine Quiche with pork because it was imported without proper reinspection. The product may not meet U.S. food safety standards.
