DFI brand cantaloupes sold in multiple pack sizes have been recalled due to salmonella contamination found by USDA testing. Consuming contaminated cantaloupes can cause serious infection, particularly in young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems.

Cantaloupes are packed in 6ct, 9ct, 12ct, 15ct, 18ct, cardboard cartons with the DFI Brand. "826 California Westside" is also stamped on outside of the carton. Each cantaloupe also has a DFI brand sticker on it.
Cantaloupes were tested by USDA MDP and found to be positive for salmonella.
