WASHINGTON, April 11, 2015 Corn Maiden Foods, Inc., a Harbor City, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 15,600 pounds of pork tamales, pork Yucatan, and beef brisket taquitos products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products contain hydrolyzed soy protein, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.
The pork tamales, pork Yucatan, and beef brisket taquitos items were produced on various dates between April 9, 2014 and April 8, 2015. The following products are subject to recall: [View Labels]
The products subject to recall bear the establishment number EST. 20949 inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items produced were shipped to hotels, restaurants and institutional locations in California.
The problem was discovered by FSIS in-plant personnel during routine verification activities.
FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

The firm is recalling Border Grill Tortilla soup due to the product having undeclared hydrolyzed soy protein that is a sub-ingredient in the ingredient; chicken base.
Midwest Poultry Services recalled white and brown cage-free shell eggs that may be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis. Consuming contaminated eggs can cause serious illness.
